Replace function in SQL Server: Implements a bulk substitution of a string in a field.

Note: It is strongly recommended to back up the database before replacing it to avoid catastrophic consequences.

Set [Content]=replace ([Content],'www.abc.com',' www. bbb.com') ;

Description: Replace the www.abc.com in the Content field with ===> www.bbb.com

if the content field type is text, an error is added: parameter data type text is not valid for parameter 1 of the Replace function.

Data for text or ntext types cannot be string-manipulated in queries. The most used is to use text as a varchar (actual content length less than 8000 bytes) or ntext as nvarchar (actual content length less than 4000 bytes) to handle

Set  as nvarchar (4000)),'oldkeyword','newkeyword'  Set as varchar (8000)), ' Oldkeyword ' ,'newkeyword ');

Special Reminders:

When using the Replace function, the first parameter must not be quoted:

Like what:

set src=replace (' src ','www.abc.com','www.bbb.com ');

He will replace all src fields with src strings, which is disastrous, so the previous reminders are to be backed up .
