Note 1: To avoid platform errors, I just re-installed my windows. Now it's windows 7 Standard Edition with sp1, which should be similar to the computers of most people in the class... Since there are more people in the class who use win7 than those who use xp now .. So this tutorial only writes Windows 7. I do not plan to write xp (at least I do not plan it for the time being )..
NOTE 2: This tutorial is suitable for those who have never been familiar with Java and Android platform installation. However, I will explain some improvements here. If the reader passes through this section, it does not matter how to configure the android development platform. However, to improve your capabilities in the future, I suggest you read more. This part of content will appear in a small green font, and will be clipped.

Part 1: Download, install and test JDK:
# For us, only JDK is needed, and Java EE with SDK is not required.
Relationship between JDK and JRE:
Java is a programming language developed by sun.
JDK (Java Developement Kit, Java Development Kit) is a toolkit released by sun to help programmers develop java programs, JDK contains all programs for compiling Java source code, as well as various essential tools such as compilers, APIs, technical documentation (now online documentation), and API source code (provided separately ). Therefore, to develop Java programs, downloading JDK is a required tool.
JRE (Java Runtime Environment, Java Runtime Environment) is a tool used to execute Java programs. It contains the basic modules of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM, Java Virtual Machine) and is used for execution. the java file is generated after compilation. class file.
JDK usually contains a complete set of JRE, so it is sufficient for developers to download JDK. #

# If you are not sure about your system type, right-click the computer in the Start menu and choose "computer"> properties. Select x86 for 32 bits and x64 for 64 bits. If you are still not sure about the system type, select the x86 version #:

6. Run the downloaded file and click Next. (During JDK installation, a window will pop up to install JRE, and the next step will be followed ).

7. Test: Press and hold the windows logo + R key on the keyboard to bring up the "run" window. Enter cmd-> OK to go to the "black box"-console that we used to see. Enter java in it. If a large amount of English information is displayed, the installation is successful:

Part 2: Download the Android SDK:
# Android SDK is a development tool provided by Google for developers. Through SDK and AVD Mnager, it can manage SDK versions, upgrade sdks, create AVD and other functions #

2. Click android-sdk_rxx-windows.zip on the first page:

Part 3: download and install Eclipse and ADT:
# Eclipse is an open-source software maintained by the Eclipse Foundation. Because of its powerful open-source features, many developers have chosen it as the preferred choice for Java development. In addition, they can install plug-ins to support C/C ++ (CDT) development.
ADT is an Eclipse plug-in developed by Google for Android. With AVD (Android Virtual Device, Android Virtual Device), it can easily perform complex Android development through Eclipse, this saves the trouble for developers to manually compile and set files. Fully visualized development saves time and effort. #

1. Open http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/in the browser, go to the eclipsedownload page, select the right side of the first line of development Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developmers, and select your own system.

# Note: Not long ago, Eclipse 3.7 Indigo was released, but Google did not release the ADT update for this Eclipse update, so I am not sure whether to download 3.7 is compatible.
If you have downloaded Eclipse 3.6 Helios, you must upgrade the ADT to the latest version (for details about the method, see later). Otherwise, a stuck bug will occur when the code is automatically supplemented. #

2. The server automatically selects the download point closest to you based on your geographic location. You can click the Green Arrow to download the download point:

3. decompress the downloaded file to any folder (we recommend that you extract it to the root directory of the hard disk, for example, C: \ Eclipse ).

# Eclipse is a completely green software that requires no installation. You can use it after decompression. However, note that if the decompressed path contains Chinese characters or the folder name starts with a number, some inexplicable errors may occur in the future. It is a good habit to use English names for folders. We recommend that you develop them #

4. Double-hitting eclipse.exe running software

5. During the first running, you will be prompted to select a workspace. You can select the Use this as the default and do not ask again check box to set the path to the default Workspace:

6. After running Ecplise, the Welcome page is displayed. Click the Workbench return icon in the upper-right corner to enter the Eclipse Workbench.

7. Click "help"> "install new software" in the menu bar to open the window:

8. Enter the https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ in work with and click add on the right.

9. In the pop-up window, name the address you just entered. You can enter android and click OK.

10. Pending will be displayed in the list below. Eclipse is getting the ADT plug-in information at this time. Just wait.

11. After the information is obtained, a tool that can be downloaded will appear. We can select all four of them:

Click next, and the system will calculate the required space (the domestic network speed may be a little slow ).

15. If a window prompts you to install the unsigned program during the installation process, click "OK". (Sorry, the figure is missing --).

16. After installing the ADT, you will be prompted to restart Eclipse. Click restart now.

17. If a robot icon is displayed on the toolbar, the installation is correct:

18. Click this icon and you will be prompted that you have not specified the android sdk installation directory. At this time, a sending receipt will pop up to provide developer data for Google. Click Proceed.

19. Click the title bar-> window-> Preferences, click the Android option, select the SDK address you just decompressed In the SDK Location, and click OK.

20. Click the android button, select Available Packages on the left side, and select Android Repository. After loading, click Install Selected. After the download is complete, the android basic configuration is complete.

# At this time, there is nothing in the Android SDK and AVD Manager, because the current version of the sdk does not contain the platform file (platform), but can be obtained using an update package.
There is also a third-party plug-in platform download option under Android Repository, which includes google maps APIs and APIs for tablets such as Samsung. #
