Several things you must know about d3d11 (2) I mentioned that the current drivers do not support d3d11 multi-threaded, instead, the command list is implemented through software in the d3d11 runtime. Yesterday, we found that the driver command list has been supported on the Nv forceware r280 and later drivers. That is to say, the d3d10 and d3d11 video cards of NV can be accelerated through the multi-threaded provided by d3d11!
Take the multithreadedrendering11 example of dx sdk for testing, the frame rates of immediate, St DEF/scene, mt def/scene, St DEF/chunk, and mt def/chunk are 54.67, 35.06, 62.20, and 39.88 respectively. It is obvious that multi-threaded has indeed achieved real performance improvement. Previously, when using software, the MT in this example can only reach the immediate speed.
AMD is one step behind in this regard, and even the catalyst 11.9 does not support driver command list.
