System Center VMM Installs SMI-s provider

VMM You can manage storage, but you need to SMI -S provider to manage them. Therefore, you need to Install the relevant SMI-S in VMM first.

Provider Agent the installation is simple

After the installation is complete, use the following command

SMIs cimserver Status Check agent Run status

Then add the user with the following command

cimuser-a-u administrator-w "Your password" Add the local administrator account as CIM Server Users

Then add the storage System with the following command

SMIs Add hvdemo2.abc.local ( Note: FQDN of server ) SMIs smis123#

Check the configuration with the following command

Next we go to VMM Console Configuration provider

Select Provider of type

input SMI -S Server IP or FQDN

Select Run as Account

when you are done adding, you can connect to provider
