I have been hesitant to write this article to discuss the right and wrong of entrepreneurial bosses, because I have never started a business, and now I am talking about it on paper. However, I thought about it and wrote it as always. The purpose is the same as that in previous articles. It is certainly a good thing that I hope to throw a brick and knock down the jade, at least this brick should not be captured in the head.

I mentioned a person TB in <strong boss-Project Management> above. What is TB? I define Technology Boss. I think if programmers want to start their own business one day, you will be TB. From the perspective of entrepreneurship, what is the problem with TB? In this article, I will talk about several common problems of TB. I think these problems can be seen in the early stages of Most startups, at least I fantasized myself as TB, which is easy to make at work.

1. unplugging hands and feet  

The technology-based bosses are basically like that. in project development, do you want to give some advice, such as system architecture, artist, performance optimization, and function implementation ideas. In addition, TB does not assume the role of the project manager at this time. His guidance is a kind of instruction for his own purposes. If these instructions are not delivered in place, if the implementation is not performed according to the instructions of TB, TB is easy to worry about.

Let's not talk about whether TB's own technical background is a field involved in project development. Simply because he did not recognize his position, the more he did, the more he acted on behalf of the plane, there was a big problem. We often say, "standing up and talking doesn't hurt ." If the progress of the entire project is not controlled, his so-called suggestions will often disrupt the overall plan. Therefore, TB must understand that no matter how many comments are constructive or creative, they are just a reference-only proposal. The project manager must decide whether to implement these comments, remember that you are not a project manager. Although TB can determine how the product is developed from the company's perspective, this decision needs to be communicated through decision-making and more formal approaches. For example, if the perspective of TB is very unique and the suggestions made have strategic significance, the correct way is to adjust the overall development plan and re-develop the development requirements and tasks.

2. Suspicious employment

I often hear this story from people who just learned how to drive: "When you learn how to drive, you will feel scared when you sit in a car driven by others, and you will always feel that someone else may drive an accident." I think TB will also feel this kind of learning to drive, and have a hesitant attitude towards the ability of your team members. If you look at these people with technical eyes, you will always feel that they are inferior to yourself, even poor capabilities.

I think there is an old saying in China that describes this issue for thousands of years. "No doubt is needed ." But why can't we always do it? This may be related to TB's View of Human Eye and angle. First, TB is easy to consider others based on its own technical background and experience. This is understandable. Was technology born? technology is of course the first choice, but it is also a lonely view of technology that makes TB unable to look at team members from other perspectives, it is difficult to find out the advantages and expertise they have in some specialized technical fields. In actual work, TB is easy to measure by its own work efficiency. If others do it, they may not be able to see it by themselves. These are big problems in the use of TB.

It is impossible for people to be the same, whether it is work efficiency or learning ability, but there is nothing wrong with it, that is, everyone will have a bright spot, how to discover, appreciate the flashes of others and believe they can do well. I also believe that they can fulfill your requirements and standards. These are based on mutual trust and appreciation and continuous communication.

3. self-defined

It is often said that layers are relatively painful, but sometimes they are not easy. This is not because of the TB type, and the behavior is independent, it may be even more difficult. This type of TB often has industry knowledge, and most of the TB may be authoritative or bigint. If these people are not good at listening, cooperation with them is no less than a layman's leader and may be more painful.

TB has good technology, so their ideas change fast. Sometimes, they say their ideas are very good and feasible. However, due to their full self-reliance, they are forced to implement these ideas, which is lacking in their modesty. Sometimes we are exhausted by the advice of the layman. However, feasible suggestions of TB often consume all the resources of the team, and because TB analyzes the technical difficulty and related problems from an expert perspective, then they tend to easily ignore one thing: "Is the team capable of implementing your ideas within the expected time." Even if TB considers these issues and evaluates the progress of his work based on his individual abilities, the entire team may start a full-workload work phase, work out, and work overtime may also be taken for granted.

I remember talking to a colleague once. I asked him why his members had to work overtime every day. He said that he had to arrange new recruits based on his own workload, so the newcomers could never finish working, in this way, we need to strengthen the learning of new people. After hearing this, I scolded him and said, "You are nervous, how much your salary is, how much their salary is, can you be the same? Besides, there are many ways to study. They don't have to work overtime. There are other things after work, and they don't have to do their jobs ."

4. Don't listen

During the discussion of the TB-loaded project content, they also understand some of the technologies and tend to prefer to give their opinions based on their own ideas, in some cases, the technical problems of some projects are more decisive. In fact, this is a serious error for TB. In this kind of team, the boss should play an audience in terms of technology and listen more and speak less. Even if you are an expert in this field, you only need to draw your eye-catching pen.

In addition to projects outside of the TB level, the Team members are required to learn more about their life personalities and describe their project prospects. Because the project itself is under hard development and Team member is working hard, TB should act as a regulator at this time, adjust the morale of the Team, and encourage the military.

5. Pursue Perfection

Why should I mark him as a shortcoming? Imagine if something perfect exists? The pursuit of perfection is often easy to bring people into an extreme demand. I advocate the pursuit of beauty, but the method is based on a measurement. After this measurement, it will make all the members of the team very uncomfortable. It is like a person who wants to learn hygiene from an early age and wash his hands before and after meals, but if a person keeps washing his hands all day long, it means that this person is ill and at least suffers from clean.

We have repeatedly stressed that to improve quality, we must be careful. These should all be carried out in actual work, because these are reasonable requirements. As long as Members are responsible for their work at work, it is easy to achieve. I think when many TBS are working on products, they all want to say that their products are flawless and powerful at the beginning of their business. I guess anyone can understand these methods, however, this is just a bright future, and it is not to be imagined.

The product cannot be perfect, so TB should look at this kind of pursuit with an eye view. Venus is more beautiful only after having two arms missing. Therefore, what we need to do in our work is to require the quality of the details. As long as we have done a good job in detail, I think it should be an excellent product.

In fact, these problems are very common in many entrepreneurial bosses with technical backgrounds. On the one hand, they also understand some technologies, and on the other hand, they are under great pressure. However, if they do not have the trust in the Team member during the cooperation process, but do not listen attentively or sum up, I think the boss is also the end of the day. Just like the joke at the beginning, you may be trying to motivate your staff, but the results are far from expected. On the one hand, how is TB wrong? I don't mean to criticize anyone any more when writing an article. On the contrary, I respect these terabytes very much. Their courage and courage are everywhere, after all, the boss is not so easy to do. The main purpose of writing this article is to hope that people who are already working hard in their own business, or who are about to become TB will stop and think about themselves and know themselves, it will be better on the road in the future.
