Method 1:

Use the nlite tool to merge the corresponding SATA hard drive into the installation disk and then copy it.

Method 2:

(Switch) ThinkPad E40 0578a59. After installing XP, you are ready to enable the ahci mode of the SATA hard disk and install its driver. However, the installation always fails. 3. click "Install from disk"> "Browse", find the decompressed folder (C: \ drivers \ Intel (r) SATA controller ahci driver), and select "iaahci. INF ", then select" Intel 5 Series 4 port SATA ahci controller ".

4. Restart and Press F1 to enter the BIOS. Change the SATA settings back to ahci. After Entering XP, the driver will be automatically installed. After the installation is successful, restart again!
