Tiny Core Linux is a small (10 MB) Linux Desktop. It is based on the Linux 2.6 kernel, Busybox, Tiny X, FLTK graphical user interface, JWM window manager, and all runs in the memory. It is not a complete desktop, and does not fully support all hardware; it only represents the core content that can be guided into a minimum X Window desktop, in typical cases, you can access a wired network. This minimal desktop can be expanded by installing additional application software from an online software repository.

Changes: Adoption of the freetier top.org standard. this implementation provides better support for modern desktop environments while still supporting legacy window managers. also new is... universal OnDemand for both DEs and legacy WMs, thus providing users with more options for even faster booting and efficient use of memory
