1.Install the required packages for the SSHD service directly with apt-get: sudo apt-get install openssh-server2 /etc/init.d/sshd Startps:1----3

Add a few notes:

Ps:2. View IP:

In Win7: run: cmd-----dos window under input: ipconfig

In Ubuntu:ctrl + ALT + t (bring up Command terminal) input: ifconfig

Ps:3. Before opening putty, Ping each other to see if it can be ping, i.e.:

Under DOS input: Ping 172.18.*.*** (This is the Ubuntu IP, may not be the same, to enter your own Ubuntu IP)

Under Ubuntu Terminal input: Ping 172.168.1.*** (This is the Win7 IP, as per their IP input), see a few data transfer after pressing: CTRL + C (manual Stop command, do not need Ubuntu and Win7 ping too long, Win7 the system will automatically end the ping, and in Ubuntu you have to manually stop it)
