The following describes how to configure the AP mode.

TL-WR700NConfiguration

The TL-WR700N factory default isAPModePlug-and-play is supported and can be used without configuration. Wired interface connection Lan, wireless clients (such as laptops, wifi phones, etc.) connected to the TL-WR700N can be connected to the LAN. Because TL-WR700N wireless network by default is not set wireless security, illegal users can freely connect, it is recommended to do some necessary configuration for the TL-WR700N. The specific configuration can be performed as follows.

Procedure1: ConnectTL-WR700N.Because the TL-WR700N in AP mode by default does not enable DHCP server, cannot automatically assign an IP address for the computer, so you need to configure the computer wireless network connection IP address, in order to log on to the management interface of the router. Set the IP address of the wireless network connection to 192.168.1.X (1 ≤ X ≤ 252) and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, as shown in the following figure. After setting, click "OK. The TL-WR700N default SSID isTP-LINK_PocketAP_419F2E("419F2EIs the last six digits of the TL-WR700N wireless MAC address), and wireless security is not set. The computer can connect to the TL-WR700N either wired or wireless (connect to the TL-WR700N via Win7 wireless as an example), scan wireless networks in the environment, select the wireless SSID of the TL-WR700N, and click "connect ", after the connection, as shown in the following figure.

Procedure3: Click "next" to start setting. The work mode setting page is displayed, as shown in the following figure.

Procedure4: Select "AP" and click "next". The Wireless Settings page is displayed, as shown in the following figure.

On the page shown in the preceding figure, you can set the SSID (wireless network name) for the TL-WR700N ). To prevent illegal user network, it is recommended to set wireless security, it is recommended to select "WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK" and set the PSK password (this example isAbcdefgh).

Procedure5: Click "next" and prompt that the device needs to be restarted, as shown in the following figure.

Click "restart" to automatically restart the vro. The settings are complete.

Procedure6: Restart completed, at this time the wireless network of the TL-WR700N has set wireless security, the wireless network connection of the computer will be automatically disconnected, need to re-connect the wireless network of the TL-WR700N (in this example, the SSID isTP-LINK_PocketAP_419F2E), The wireless PSK password of the TL-WR700N needs to be entered during the connection process (in this exampleAbcdefgh), After connecting, as shown in the following figure.

Procedure7:After the configuration is complete, reset the IP address of the wireless network connection to the original configuration (generally automatically obtain the IP address) and click "OK" to make the connection to the Internet normal, as shown in the following figure ..

Note:TL-WR700N default management IP address192.168.1.253 ",Therefore, you must set the LAN port IP address of the TL-WR700N to a different IP address from all devices in the wired LAN to prevent IP address conflicts (usually do not need to modify ). You can choose "network parameters"> "LAN port settings" from the menu, modify the IP address, and click "save" to automatically restart the vro. As shown in the following figure.
