TL-WR941N as a wireless signal source, by default has been connected to the Internet, below the main configuration of wireless parameters.

SSID: SSID is the name of the wireless network, go to the TL-WR941N Management Interface (default is 192.168.1.1 ). Click "running status", view the "wireless status" of the device, and write down the SSID number of the wireless network (in this exampleTP-LINK_2026BC) And the MAC address in the wireless status (in this exampleE0-05-C5-20-26-BC), As shown in the following figure:

Wireless encryption: That is, the TL-WR941N wireless encryption method, the current mainstream encryption method is "WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK", the encryption algorithm is recommended to select "AES", click "wireless settings" -- "wireless security settings ", view the PSK password (in this example:12345678), As shown in the following figure:

Procedure1: TL-WR700N AP mode by default does not enable DHCP server, cannot automatically assign an IP address for the computer, so you also need to configure the computer wireless network connection IP address, in order to log on to the management interface of the router. Set the IP address of the wireless network connection to 192.168.1.X (1 ≤ X ≤ 252) and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, as shown in the following figure. After setting, click "OK. Computer wired or wireless connection to the TL-WR700N (Win7 wireless connection to the TL-WR700N as an example), TL-WR700N factory default work in AP mode, the default SSID is:TP-LINK_PocketAP_419F2E("419F2EIs the last six digits of the TL-WR700N wireless MAC address), and wireless security is not set. Computer A scans wireless networks in the environment, select the wireless SSID of the TL-WR700N, and click "connect", connect to the next, as shown in the following figure.

Procedure2:Enter "192.168.1.253" in the browser, and enter the logon account and password.Admin/admin,Open the management interface for the TL-WR700N and the setup wizard appears automatically (you can also click the manage interface menu setup wizard), as shown in the following figure.

Procedure3: Click "next" to start setting. The wireless working mode setting page is displayed, as shown in the following figure.

Procedure4: Select Repeater and click Next. The wireless settings page is displayed, as shown in the following figure.

Click "scan" to scan the wireless network in the environment. The scan result is shown in the following figure:

Locate the wireless network name (SSID) for the TL-WR941N, as shown in the figure above, click Connect and set the same encryption method and PSK password as the TL-WR941N, as shown below.

Procedure5: Click "next" and prompt that the device needs to be restarted, as shown in the following figure.

Click "restart" to automatically restart the vro. The settings are complete.

Step 6: The setting is complete, the computer's wireless network connection will be automatically disconnected, at this time the TL-WR700N is the TL-WR941N of the relay amplification, the computer found to the TL-WR700N SSID isTP-LINK_2026BC,InsteadTP-LINK_PocketAP_419F2E. And the network is configured with WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK wireless security. At this point you need to re-connect to the TL-WR700N, the connection process needs to enter the TL-WR700N wireless PSK password (this example is12345678), After connecting, as shown in the following figure.

Note:After successful relay, the wireless signal sent by the TL-WR700N and the main route signal SSID and encryption method is the same, that is, there are two identical wireless signals in the environment. However, no matter how many identical wireless signals exist, only the one with the strongest signal is displayed. Therefore, if the main router is far from your computer, and the TL-WR700N is close (in general this case, the signal of the TL-WR700N is stronger than the front-end main router ). At this point directly connect to the signal to connect to the TL-WR700N.

Procedure7: After you reconnect to the TL-WR700N, use the ping command on your computer to detect connectivity between the TL-WR700N and the TL-WR941N in Repeater mode. Ping the administrative IP address of the TL-WR941N on your computer (in this example: 192.168.1.1 ).

If ping is successful (as shown in the figure above), the relay is successful. If ping fails, check the configuration again, especially whether the wireless encryption mode and PSK key are entered correctly.

Step 8:After the configuration is complete, reset the IP address of the wireless network connection to the original configuration (generally automatically obtain the IP address) and click "OK" to make the connection to the Internet normal, as shown in the following figure:

Note:TL-WR700N default management IP address192.168.1.253 ",To prevent IP address conflicts, you must set the LAN port IP address of the TL-WR700N to an IP address that is not the same as that of all devices in the wired LAN (generally, you do not need to modify it ). You can choose "network parameters"> "LAN port settings" from the menu, modify the IP address, and click "save" to automatically restart the vro. As shown in the following figure.
