The following describes the quick setting method in TL-WR700N Router mode.

TL-WR700N by default does not enable DHCP server, cannot automatically assign an IP address for the computer, so you need to configure the computer wireless network connection IP address, in order to log on to the management interface of the router. Set the IP address of the wireless network connection to 192.168.1.X (1 ≤ X ≤ 252) and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, as shown in the following figure. After setting, click "OK. TL-WR700N default management IP address192.168.1.253 ".

TL-WR700N works in AP mode by default and the default SSID is:TP-LINK_PocketAP_FFFFFE("FFFFFEIs the last six digits of the TL-WR700N wireless MAC address), and wireless security is not set. Scan the wireless network in the computer environment, select the wireless SSID of the TL-WR700N, and click "connect", connect after, as shown in the following figure.

 

IITL-WR700NSettings

Procedure1:Enter "192.168.1.253" in the browser, and enter the logon account and passwordAdmin,Open the management interface for the TL-WR700N and the setup wizard appears automatically (you can also click the manage interface menu setup wizard), as shown in the following figure.

Procedure2: Click "next" to start setting. The wireless working mode setting page is displayed, as shown in the following figure.

Procedure3: Select "Router" and click Next. The wireless settings page is displayed, as shown in the following figure.

On the page shown in the preceding figure, you can set the SSID (wireless network name) for the TL-WR700N ). To prevent illegal user network, it is recommended to set wireless security, it is recommended to select "WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK" and set the PSK password (this example is123456789).

Procedure4: Click "next" to bring up the internet access method selection page. Select your broadband access method (PPPoE dialing is used as an example here) and select "PPPoE (ADSL virtual dialing )".

Procedure5: Click "next" to bring up the Internet account and password input box, as shown in the following figure.

Procedure6: Enter the broadband "internet account" and "Internet password ". Click "next" and prompt that the device needs to be restarted, as shown in the following figure.

Click "restart" to automatically restart the vro. The settings are complete.

Procedure7: Restart completed, at this time the wireless network of the TL-WR700N has set wireless security, the wireless network connection of the computer will be automatically disconnected, need to re-connect the wireless network of the TL-WR700N (in this example, the SSID isTP-LINK_PocketAP_FFFFFE), The wireless PSK password of the TL-WR700N needs to be entered during the connection process (in this example123456789), After connecting, as shown in the following figure.

Procedure8: After setting the wizard to set the Router mode and restarting the vro, the DHCP server is automatically enabled, and the wireless network connection of the computer can automatically obtain the IP address and DNS server. Therefore, set the IP address of the wireless network connection to automatically obtain the IP address, and click "OK" to make the connection to the Internet normal, as shown in the following figure.

Procedure9: Rewirelessly connect to the TL-WR700N, enter the router management interface, click the menu "running status", view "WAN port status", as shown in the following figure.

If the IP address and DNS server address obtained by the router are displayed in "WAN port status", PPPoE dial-up is successful.

So far the TL-WR700N's Router mode has been configured and successfully connected to the Internet, wireless networks have also set wireless security for the WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK. The computer can be connected to the router wireless Internet, other computers only need to connect to the TL-WR700N can be normal Internet access.
