Previously used Ubuntu + Virtaulbox, recently tested vmware-workstation-9, performance over virtaulbox-4.2.x, here are the detailed steps:

1 Prepare an Ubuntu system first

2. No LSB modules is available.
3. Distributor Id:ubuntu
4. Description:ubuntu 16.04 LTS
5. release:16.04

2 Getting the VMWARE-WORKSTATION-12 installation package

(Https://download3.vmware.com/software/wkst/file/VMware-Workstation-Full-12.1.1-3770994.x86_64.bundle)
Select for Linux

1. File vmware-workstation-full-12.1.1-3770994.x86_64.bundle
2. vmware-workstation-full-12.1.1-3770994.x86_64.bundle: Data

3 Installing VMWARE-WORKSTATION-12

1. chmod +x vmware-workstation-full-12.1.1-3770994.x86_64.bundle #赋予执行权限
2. ./vmware-workstation-full-12.1.1-3770994.x86_64.bundle #需要root permissions
3. Extracting VMware Installer...done.
