The Ubuntu Project Team released beta 9.04 (development code "Jaunty jackalope") today.
In addition to the desktop and server versions, kubuntu, xubuntu, and Ubuntu
Studio, mythbuntu, and other derivative versions.
Ubuntu 9.04
The desktop version has two significant improvements: first, faster system startup and second, the introduction of a new notification system. For the server version
Eucalyptus and turn-key email services.
In addition, UBUNTU 9.04 includes Linux 2.6.28.8, GCC 4.3.3, glibc 2.9, and Python
2.6.1, X. org server 1.6, gnome 2.26, Kde 4.2.1, OpenOffice.org 3.0.1, and so on.
