1. command-line installation
32-bit system
$ cd ~ && wget-o-"https://www.dropbox.com/download?plat=lnx.x86" | Tar Xzf-
64-bit system
$ cd ~ && wget-o-"https://www.dropbox.com/download?plat=lnx.x86_64" | Tar Xzf-
Note that the link starts with "https" (HTTP will be wall). Download size is about 18M, the command finishes even if the installation is complete.

2. Start
To run the command:
$ ~/.dropbox-dist/dropboxd
After the first boot, go to the Configuration window and follow the prompts.
3. Questions
Other installation methods
Installation via apt-get or software Center or download Deb package may fail and prompt:
Trouble connecting to Dropbox server. Maybe your Internet connection is down,or
Need to set your HTTP_PROXY environment variable
This could be because the Dropbox site is a wall, so try the command-line installation.

Http://www.dropbox.com may be wall, can try to access https://www.dropbox.com.
