Most of today's computers use the UEFI boot system (which used to be the BIOS) to speed up the boot, but they also bring a lot of confusion to users who are accustomed to the BIOS! Why does the computer not recognize the well-made U-disk PE system?

Two different boot comparisons:

   "BIOS boot":

   Traditional computers are usually booting with BIOS, boot BIOS initialization, then BIOS self-test, and then boot the operating system → enter the system and display the desktop.

   Disc Boot:

   In the case of BIOS boot, usually use the installation disc maintenance, installation of operational systems, as long as the CD-ROM (or DVD, the motherboard menu is not the same) using the upper and lower keys, select this, press ENTER to confirm, and then press F10, restart the computer, you can recognize the CD-ROM inside the installation CD.

   U-Disk Start:

   Under the guidance of the BIOS, the operation of the U-Disk PE system and the optical drive boot setting method is similar, as long as the USB option is found (some motherboards are the model of the U-disk), set as the first startup item, restart the computer will read the U-disk PE system.

   "Uefi Boot":

   The UEFI boot process is to boot the UEFI and then direct the operating system to enter the system. Compared to the traditional BIOS boot, UEFI boot less a BIOS self-test process, so the boot will be faster, which has become a favorite computer.

    For example, Acer's new computer defaults to UEFI boot, and if you need to use a U-disk PE system, you may not recognize the U-disk, at which point you need to make some adjustments. Insert the already made U-disk PE system, boot fast (slow will directly read the hard disk) press F12 key, enter the Setup interface. It is the key value of each brand machine or motherboard entering BIOS boot setting (for reference only).

    Go to the Settings main screen, continue to click on the boot menu, boot mode, the right side is the current boot mode, where the default is UEFI boot.

    Select the item carriage return, after opening the settings item, there are two options:UEFI and Legacy(with the upper and lower keys selected), boot mode select Legacy.

    Click OK to confirm the change to Legacy boot mode.

    Prompted to ask if you want to restart your computer now? Click Yes to restart your computer and the boot menu will be displayed.

    Enter this interface, believe that many familiar with the bios of the old user is relieved, the first (HDD) for the hard disk boot, the second (USB) for theu disk Start, the third (network) for the Web boot.

    Set up the U-disk start (USB), restart the computer will recognize the well-made U-disk PE system. The next is the graphical interface, and Chinese instructions, do not have to repeat it.

    However, since the previous Windows 7 operating system has not yet seen a UEFI boot system, it does not support GPT boot on UEFI boot (for Windows 8 operating systems), and MBR is incompatible with GPT if you are installing the WINDOWS7 operating system. The disk must be converted to MBR boot. This type of maintenance tool is now available in the U-Disk PE system.

    Note : Converting disk formats requires emptying all partitions and data on the disk, so be sure to save all important data on the disk before you operate. After entering the Windows7 installation interface, you can also use the command to convert disk boot mode without using the Maintenance tool: press SHIFT + F10 to open the command prompt. Input:Diskpart Press ENTER to enter the operator interface.

    Input:list Disk Press ENTER to execute the command to view information about the disks. At this point, be careful to check the size of the disk to determine, select. 465GB Disk 0 is the hard drive, 3852MB Disk 1 is used for Win7 installation of the USB drive (do not choose the wrong!) ）。

    Input: Select disk0 Press ENTER, and choose Disks 0 for the current operation.

    Input: ConvertMBR Press ENTER, and the hard drive boot mode is converted to MBR partition. At this point, installing the WINDOWS7 operating system has no problem booting the exception.

    Finally note: Install the WINDOWS7 operating system, at this time the hard drive boot mode has been turned into legacy mode, may not start the system normally, if you want to start normally, you need to change the boot mode back to UEFI.
