Importing unity 3D to the 3dmax model may cause several problems. According to official instructions, importing the max model into an fbx file to the Untiy file does not seem to be a solution.

1. X axis deflection
After the 3dmax model is imported, there is an automatic 270 degree deflection of the X axis. Coincidentally, When you rotate the model in unity, you will find that the Y axis is always upward in the reference direction, the X and Z axes are subject to the local coordinates of the model. In this way, when the model rotates 270 degrees along the X axis, the Z axis exactly overlaps with the Y axis, in this way, when you try to use the program to control the direction, you will find that rotating y has the same effect as rotating Z, which is obviously not the expected result. To solve this problem, export the. Max file as a. 3DS file and then import it to Untiy, instead of importing it to. fbx.

2. Material problems
After the model is assigned a material in 3dmax, no material will be imported into unity in any way. Fortunately, Untiy automatically generates the material balls of these materials, we need to re-set the Paster. If your material has other effects, such as lightmap, You need to select the correct shader and then set the texture.

3. Scaling Factor
When a model is imported to Untiy, if you have never cared about the unit in 3dmax before, the size of the model in the scenario will be unexpected.
Unit 1 in unity is 100 times the Unit 1 in fbx files
Therefore, if we want to use 1 unit = 1 meter in unity, set the unit to 1 cm during creation in Max and Maya.
If we want to set unit 1 to 100 MB in unity, set unit to 1 MB.
If we want to set unit 1 to 1 cm in unity, set unit to 0.1mm, or change the ratio factor to 1 When unit is 1 cm.
In Max, the single setting should be like this

1 unit = 1 cm, so that 1 cell in unity is equal to 1 MB in 3dmax.

(1) Use reset XForm to redefine the transform data. <this method must be used to optimize data.>
(2) You can set the orientation to Z up or y up when fbx is released.

2. When the same resource is placed, it will be automatically imported.
3. In fact, you do not need to set the proportion. You can set the ratio to and 1 for a long, long, and high value in Max. It will be better if you proceed.
