As described in this article, Citrix will publish two types of xendesktop versions in the future, one for the LTSR version and the long-term technical support version, one for the CR version and the new feature update for the main version.

Considering the choice of LTSR version of the user to consider the stability of the non-novelty function, the evaluation of separate open text listing relevant information.

1. The current version of the XenDesktop LTSR is based on XenDesktop 7.6 FP3 as a base specification.

2. XenDesktop LTSR can be directly upgraded based on the XenDesktop 7.6 rtm/fp1/fp2 version.

3. By mid-January 2016 LTSR release deadline, including components such as Ddc/pvs/storefront/vda version and FP3 version of the same.

4. The Ltsr/xd FP3 version of the VDA cannot be applied to 7.6 related hotfix. Subsequent Citrix updates will be made through Cumlative Update (CU). As of February 1, 2016, Citrix has not released the corresponding CU to the LTSR version XD.

5. On the Support.citrix.com website there will be a separate 7.6 ltsr corresponding to the hotfix page for easy use.
