Update Development Board firmware
The IDE contains the released board and sub-dedicated firmware. Follow these steps to update your board with IDE:
(1) disconnect all power supplies (USB and 5 V power supplies ). Make sure no sketch is running on the board
(2) Remove the SD card from the board
(3) Use 5 V to power the Board
(4) connect the USB data cable to the USB client port. Note that the COM port has been connected.
(5) Open the IDE and choose tools> board> intel®Galileo
(6) Select COM port> serial port. (Note: Do not download any sketch to the board before updating the firmware)
(7) Click Help to find firmware upgrade
(8) one piece of information will be consulted and confirmed that the 5 V power supply is connected. If the connection is established, click yes. If no connection is established, click no. After the connection is established, re-execute this step.
(9) The Board can be updated to the latest version or downgraded to the older version. The next information displays the version information of your current board and tells you to try to remove it from the flash board. Select Yes to upgrade or downgrade again. The same Flash software
(10) the upgrade process will be completed in 6 minutes and several pop-up information will be displayed. During the upgrade, you cannot enter the IDE. (Note: the power supply and USB cable must be connected during the update process)
(11) when the update is complete, a message will prompt that the firmware update is successful. Click OK. If the firmware you update is not included in the current IDE, download the SPI flash image capsule file in Chapter 2.
Make sure that only one *. Cap file is in the same place.
· If you download a new file, rename *. Cap to another extension.
