Upgrade Mac snow leopard from 10.6.6 to 10.6.8 and fix Related Problems

Download the upgrade installation package:

Back up kext:

Under System/resource library/extensions
Appleacpiplatform. kext
Iopcifamily. kext
Ioplatfformpluginfamily. kext

After the installation is complete, restart the instance. If the installation is successful, the instance runs normally. However, the following problems may occur:

1.After the startup, the backup kext will be restored (you can use another boot disk, such as USB boot and CD boot), and the root permissions of the three files will be restored.

2.If there is a problem with the finder, You need to reinstall the Update file. At this time, the finder cannot be used, but terminal can only be used,

Mount DMG: hdiutil Mount macosxupdcombo10.6.8.dmg first on Terminal

Run the open command to start PKG installation: Open/volumns/MAC *****. PKG

After the installation is complete, restart and the finder will fix the problem.

3.The NIC cannot be identified:

You need to reinstall the NIC Driver. If not, try the following:

Restart to safe mode (start with-v-X-F in command line mode) to check whether automatic recovery is possible. If Automatic Recovery fails, you can try to delete the following three kext, and restart.
