VirtualBox Linux Samba Settings

First of all, VirtualBox must be used Network bridge, because the NAT mode and internal mode virtual machine is not real in the network, the host and any machine in the network can not view and access to the existence of vhost.

Step1 Installing Samba

#apt-get Install Samba

Step2 Adding a Samba server user

#smbpasswd-A Huang//huang must first be a Linux user name

Step3 setting up a Samba configuration file

#cd/etc/samba

#cp smb.conf smb.conf.backup//Backup

#vim smb.conf

Add the following configuration:

[Huang]//will see the changed shared folder name in Windows

Path =/home/huang

Valid users = Huang

Read Only = No

Guest OK = Yes

Save to exit

#testparm//Test parameters

Step4 Reset Samba

#/ect/init.d/samba restart
