Visual Studio 11 Beta brings a lot of new development experiences to developers. the most eye-catching is the Metro-style application development environment provided by Windows 8. For the first time, the Metro-style application was attempted to highlight many users on the Windows Phone 7 platform. The Metro application was implanted again on the released Windows 8 consumer preview operating platform, this will bring more and more new user experiences, as well as new opportunities and challenges for developers.
Visual Studio 11 Beta provides two Metro application development methods: HTML + JavaScript and XAML + C #/C ++/VB. Developers can develop different types of Metro applications as needed.
Visual C #-> the Windows Metro style menu provides three Application styles: Blank Application, Grid Application, and Split Application.
HTML + JavaScript applications can be found in the Other versions menu. Similar to C #, three application styles are provided.
When creating a new project, Visual Studio 11 automatically helps developers obtain the Developer License for Windows 8 CP and complete the project creation. Next we can develop Metro applications that support the Windows 8 platform.
In addition to Visual Studio 11, Microsoft has also added Blend for Visual Studio development and design tools. This tool can only be used in Windows 8, making it easy to design the UI of the Metro application.
