The system administrator has installed a Windows Server 2012 server under the VM, and I install the SQL Server Standard Edition database on it, only one C drive is allocated at the beginning of the installation, and I want to add three disks (virtual disks) to this server. The steps are as follows:
Step 1: Connect VMware with VMware vSphere client, right-click on the virtual machine, select "Edit Settings", select "Add" button, select "HDD" Step by step to partition resources from SAN storage.
Last three drives added: HDD 2, HDD 3, HDD 4
Step 2: Log on to the Windows Server 2012 server and you will see the new virtual disks under Disk Management.
Step 3: Right-click on disk 2 and select "Online" to bring the disks online.
Step 4: Again at Disk 2, select "Initize Disk" to initialize the disk
Step 5: Click OK. For MBR and GPT, you can refer to the online information.
Step 6: Right-click to select "New simple Volume", step by step.
