Cause: This is due to the different OVF version, the VMware workstation built-in Ofvtool tool only supports OVF version 1.0, resulting in incompatible

For the OVF template, the directory corresponds to the following three extensions for the VMDK, OVF, MF files corresponding to the SHA1 checksum file for the virtual disk file, virtual machine configuration file, virtual disk, and configuration file respectively.

Workaround:

Online: After downloading Ovftool 4.1 from the VMware website, install the files in the installation directory and overwrite them under the Ovftools directory in the VMware Workstation installation directory. Download Address:

Note: I am using this method, after installing Ovftool 4.1 and replace, reopen the VMware Workstation Import OVF template, will still report this error, but click "Retry" can be imported successfully; No replacement 4.1 before, click "Retry" import also failed
