VMware Redhat Network Configuration

Windows Configuration
First, configure the related configurations of VMware in windows: 1. Enter the Network and sharing center (for example, win7 system), configure VMWare Network Adapter VMnet8 ,:

2. Modify the attributes of www.2cto.com.

Of course, this step can also be modified in VMware's Edit-> Virtual Network Editor,

After completing the preceding settings, you need to go to Redhat for Redhat network settings.
RedHat network settings
1. Click Menu-> System Setting-> Network or enter redhat-config-network in terminal. Click Enter2. enter the password to enter the Network Configuration window.

3. Double-click eth0 To Go To The Ethernet Device interface, select Statically set IP address (static IP settings), enter relevant information, and click OK,

4. On the Network Configuration page, click the DNS Tab. In Primary DNS, enter the DNS information,

5. Return to the original Devices Tab and click the Active icon to activate the network configuration,

6. Open windows cmd and ping 192.168.40.5 www.2cto.com.

7. The configuration is successful. Note: If you want to use SecureCRT to manipulate Redhat through the SSH protocol, you need to further configure the Redhat security level to allow the SSH protocol. 8. Click Menu-> System Setting-> Security Level, enter the password, and enter the Security Level Configuration interface,

9. in the allow incoming list, select SSH and save. In this case, you can use the SecureCRT tool to remotely connect to allow incoming through the SSH protocol. Of course, if you want to use other connection methods, select the corresponding options here. Now, the network settings on one machine have been set up. If you need to virtualize multiple hosts and interact with each other, you only need to modify a different IP address in the new virtual host. Author Shi er
