VMware sets up virtual machine servers

VMware Virtual Machine server construction 1. Requirement Description:
1. When a vro is available, the virtual machine running on a physical machine in the vro can be accessed through a fixed Internet IP address.
2. access ftp, remote connection, iis, and tomcat in the virtual machine through an Internet IP address.

Ii. Principle Analysis:
1. Use the vro's virtual service function to implement port forwarding (most vrouters on the market currently have this function), or use the dmz function of the vro to directly expose a virtual machine.
The vro's virtual service function is used to achieve this effect.
2. Use the built-in network bridging mode of vmware to connect the operating system in the virtual machine to the physical machine,
That is to say, a new computer is connected to a router.

Iii. required tools:
1. vmware must have it.
2. In the vmware operating system, I installed windows server 2003
3. A Router capable of port forwarding.
4. The fixed IP address of the carrier can also be implemented by the dynamic IP address, but it must be modified every time it is started. Let me talk about it at the end.

4. Start officially:
Step 1: configure the network connection mode in vmware. First, you need to enable the vmware Virtual Machine Nic, right-click my computer-device management-then the network adapter: Set the two vmware NICs to enable

Step 2: Set the IP address acquisition method for the two NICs of vmware to self-acquisition, in many cases, the IP addresses of these two NICS will automatically give you a default IP address when you install vmware. I did not modify the IP address at the beginning, so I have never succeeded, later, we found that the IP address must be obtained automatically. Otherwise, the gateway of the router cannot be connected. Open the network and network sharing center and modify the ip address acquisition method of the two NICs:

Step 3: Set the network connection mode of the operating system in the Virtual Machine. By default, the network connection mode of the virtual machine is NAT and changed to Bridged bridge.
Right-click the virtual machine Settings or click the virtual machine on the right side to find the configuration.

Step 4: run the OS in vmware and check whether the picture of the connected network in the lower right corner is normal. If the image is not connected, the icon in the lower right corner will become Gray:

Step 5: configure the IP address of the operating system in vmware: Network neighbors -- properties -- Right-click Local connection -- properties -- select IP -- properties:

OK. The network connection of the operating system in the virtual machine is completely independent. Go to the IP address list in the vro to see if there is a list of Connected Networks of the operating system.

Step 6: configure the port forwarding service for the vro:

Finally, run tomcat in the vmware operating system for testing and use the fixed IP address of the carrier to access port 80.

Complete.
Next, you can configure FTP, IIS, and remote connection for this operating system.
As for how to access a dynamic IP address, it is actually very simple to record this dynamic IP address and then use this dynamic IP address to access this port 80 (server), but because it is a dynamic IP address, therefore, the dynamic IP address must be recorded every time the vro is restarted or bound using dynamic DNS software.
DMZ: by using this function, you can directly expose the IP address of an independent virtual server and access the server through the Internet IP address.
