Vmware Vsphere 6.0 Storage Management

Today, we mainly introduce VMware vsphere Storage management, we know that VMware Vspher storage in two ways: Disk/lun: Outside the host and directly through the SAS, SATA and other protocols connected to the external storage system on the host, The local storage system does not need the storage network to communicate with the host, only need a cable connected to the storage unit, the host needs a compatible HBA card when necessary; 2: Network File system: Requires storage space for vsphere through a professional storage device or Server for NFS ESXi can access the specified NFS volume located on the NAS server, where it can live on or delete the NFS volume, one level to meet the storage requirements. To use the NFS volume to use the VMFS datastore to store and boot the virtual machine, add the external NFS storage to increase the storage space of the virtual machine, add NFS external storage requires a network connection to access the data stored on the remote server, because before you configure NFS, You must first configure the Vmwarekernel network, configure the Vmwarekernel network before you can add NFS storage, in fact, NFS is similar to the external iSCSI configuration, see below:

First we open ESXi login, click Storage

We have mounted a local disk locally, so adding disk/lun can

We also completed the deployment of the iSCSI server, where we used the iSCSI server that came with the WINDOWS2012R2 system to emulate the iSCSI source. We added a 100G hard drive to the server.
