VSphere Standard switch network schematic

The following is a diagram of the vSphere Standard switch network diagram for my personal communication process: In the VMware vSphere architecture, the server virtualizes a switch for the ESX Host Virtual Machine to use. There are two types of Virtual Switches, vSwitch and vNetwork distributed vSwitch. Each ESX Host has a standard vSwitch. Www.2cto.com
Network composition of ESXI: 1. In ESXi, the physical network card name is vmnic. After ESXI is installed, the first network card vmnic0 is added by default. VSphere advanced features must be implemented through multiple NICs. 2. The vSwitch is provided by the ESXI kernel and is a virtual switch used to connect different virtual machines and management interfaces. A vSwitch can be composed of one or more vmnic. Different vswitches cannot use the same vmnic. By default, the first vswitch vSwitch0 is installed for functions such as console and Vm online. 3. communication port (group) port/port group, mainly used to provide the Service Console, VmKernel, virtual port communication port group function, all network operations of ESX are based on port/port group and vmnic, between vswitches. 4. The NIC Team integrates different NICs into the same channel to increase speed, failover, Server Load balancer, and other functions. Author ANLJF
