For Web front-end development, more and more people use the JS framework to achieve results, of which the jquery framework is the most common use. The discussion of jquery in this article comes from an interview with Karl Swedberg, a JavaScript and jquery technology expert, and Karl Swedberg writes a number of related articles and has a jQuery-related lecture at various WEB development design conferences.
For designers who may not have heard of jquery, what is jquery?
JQuery is a tool for developers and designers to add interactive content to their web pages, and its core commands allow you to locate or create objects in a Web page and manipulate them, which is in fact a much easier to use JavaScript, and you can do a variety of things without forcing the page to refresh.
In your opinion, why is jQuery useful to Web designers?
JavaScript broadens the horizon for design, and JQuery makes it all simpler. For those who are familiar with CSS, writing jquery code is very similar, and for those with flash experience, jquery is a standardized, open technology that can interact with flash-like effects.
What is the general content of your JQuery lecture at the Future of Web deisgn New York convention?
I'll make a brief introduction to the JQuery Library, and then take a step-by-step step-by-Step tutorial on how to improve the user experience in the site, and I'll show you some techniques to see how jQuery can make up for CSS or some browser's lack of CSS processing. I will explain how to use animation to prevent abuse. Finally, some interesting plug-ins will be shown.
JQuery has a number of practical plug-ins, which are designers indispensable?
This depends on the website, or the customer's needs. My own commonly used one plug-in is Mike alsup design Cycle Plugin, This is a turns the picture the decoration, has the very beautiful excessive effect, this plugin is not limited to plays the picture, but also can play any content, it really is very good, in so small space may put so many content.
Recently I was also interested in the JQuery UI plugin, which makes the rich user experience, such as drag-and-drop operation, very simple, it contains a good part, I have started to use the dialog box, Tab and date selector.
In your opinion, what is the future of WEB design?
I'm a complete idiot in predicting any future technology. In some ways, things might not have changed much if we couldn't get rid of those old browsers, but even now, in the better browsers, we've seen something exciting and I'm looking forward to seeing something new.
The Webkit engine development team has done a lot of work on CSS animations, and they are even reaching out to the graphics hardware to achieve dazzling visuals. Firefox, Safari, and Chrome are race each other on JavaScript engines, and many JavaScript libraries are also dramatically improved in performance. We will open to more and more HTML 5 elements for use, such as Canvas, audio, video. Web fonts will also be more sophisticated, both technically and in terms of copyright. To be sure, the future of the Web will be amazing.
