What is a NIC

NIC, also known as network adapter, is the most important connection device in the computer network. The function of the network card ⑴  represents the fixed network address data transferred from    one computer to another computer, that is, from a network card to another network card, that is, from the source network address transmission to the destination network address. ⑵ The way data is transferred to and from the network over the           wire is not the same as the way the data is processed internally by the computer, it must conform to a certain data format (communication protocol). When the          computer transmits data to the network card, the network adapter converts it into bytes that can be processed by the networking device, so that the data can be sent to the network cable, and the other computers on the net can process the data . ⑶ string Parallel conversion          in the network, the work of the NIC is twofold: on the one          hand it converts the data on the local computer into the network, on the         other hand, it is responsible for receiving the network uploaded packets, the data with the transmission of data, the opposite conversion, Transfer data to the local computer via the bus on the motherboard.
