I have always had a kind of expectation for Google Maps because it complies with all the definitions I think about "cool. Unfortunately, all kinds of interesting and useful applications related to google maps have nothing to do with China, because Google has never launched the Chinese version of Google Maps.

A few days ago, Jan said that Google Maps finally showed us the whole world, and that day we could only see the whole world far away. We could not see every street or even the car in the street as closely as in the United States. Many people found some interesting places through Google maps, and some people even recovered their memories. Google Maps indeed introduces a lot of cool usage, which is enviable and jealous.

Today, I found that I can view Beijing at close distance. I saw the traffic flow in chang'an Street and the tourists in Tiananmen Square. I saw Zhongnanhai, the Central TV Tower, the traffic jam under the six-mile bridge, and the Temple of Heaven, we also saw the location of the donews office ...... Cool?

There is an article saying that Google is always a start-up acquisition when no one else cares about it. The acquisition of the satellite image company Keyhole is such a foresight. In China, map is a monopoly of resources. As a result of no competition, it is the institution that occupies the monopoly resources and has no initiative. go2map is an example. The final acquisition is inevitable. However, Sohu's performance after the acquisition made me lose my expectation for it.

I'm looking forward to google maps, and I'm looking forward to some interesting and useful applications around Google Maps. For example, what webleon says is map + news, MAP + SNS, MAP + Kijiji, MAP + eBay, and what tangos says is to add map elements to travel encyclopedia wiki such as ulog.org, A map-based travel wiki is developed to allow users to browse travel materials and Related Images Based on maps. It also allows you to write a strategy based on a map to present walking routes, accommodation locations, transportation modes, and photos on the map.

Provincial capitals such as Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenyang, and Jinan do not yet provide close-up aerial views. Streets and houses can also be seen in Hong Kong and Taipei.

Jan worried that although Google map can be used with satellites to look at their functions carefully, will it be a taboo in China? In fact, the taboo is on the one hand. what's even more terrible is that some people will use this taboo to encourage or even intimidate the authorities to block competitors from outside China.
