Under normal circumstances, ie browser defaults to set the search provider is Bing, we only in the IE Address bar input keyword can search through Bing, but sometimes found no way to search in IE.
Open IE management add-in, found in the search provider column, Bing's "Search suggestions" and "most matching results" status is "not available", as shown in the following figure. Right click on the Bing search does not use the enabled operation, how can you enable it?
This occurs because the Bing search provider's key values are deleted or changed, and you can fix the problem by importing the correct key values. You can refer to the following steps in detail:
Step One: Please press "win+r" key combination, in the pop-up run box input: regedit, and enter. (Note: If the User Account Control window pops up, please click "Continue")
Navigate to the following path: Hkey_current_usersoftwaremicrosoftinternet explorersearchscopes
Right-click the searchscopes item, select Export, and then save it to the desktop. This is the registry we backed up, and if anything happens to us in the operation, we can double-click the import to revert to the original registry.
Step Two: Please create a new Notepad file, paste the following text into Notepad, name it "Bing.reg" and save it on your desktop. or simply download the edited Bing.reg file.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[Hkey_current_usersoftwaremicrosoftinternet EXPLORERSEARCHSCOPES{0633EE93-D776-472F-A0FF-E1416B8B2E3A}]
"Suggestionsurlfallback" = "http://api.bing.com/qsml.aspx?query={searchterms}&maxwidth={ie:maxwidth}& Rowheight={ie:rowheight}§ionheight={ie:sectionheight}&form=ie8ssc&market={language} "
"Faviconurlfallback" = "Http://www.bing.com/favicon.ico"
"DisplayName" = "Bing"
"URL" = "HTTP://WWW.BING.COM/SEARCH?Q={SEARCHTERMS}&SRC=IE-SEARCHBOX&FORM=IE8SRC"
"Faviconpath" = "d:userstestappdatalocallowmicrosoftinternet explorerservicessearch_{ 0633ee93-d776-472f-a0ff-e1416b8b2e3a}.ico "
"Showsearchsuggestions" =dword:00000001
"Topresulturlfallback" = "HTTP://WWW.BING.COM/SEARCH?Q={SEARCHTERMS}&SRC=IE9TR"
Step Three: Please double-click "Bing.reg" and when you are prompted to confirm that you want to import the registry, please click OK. You will then be prompted to indicate that you have successfully imported the registry.
Looking at the Bing search provider again, you can find "search suggestions" and "most matched results", and the status is "enabled."
