Generally, the default value is ENABLE Parallel Port Mode, which can be changed according to the printer conditions, such as ECP, EPP, SPP, EPP + ECP, etc, you can set it according to the requirements of the printer. The old-fashioned pin is generally set to SPP, and the new inkjet or laser printer is recommended to be set to EPP + ECP.
Both ECP and EPP are standard parallel port (NORMAL) enhancement methods. They improve some weaknesses of the original parallel port and are compatible with the original mode. Parallel ports supporting EPP and ECP are configured on all new PCs. Standard parallel ports are generally used to transmit data between PCs and printers. While EPP (Enhanced Parallel Ports, Enhanced Parallel Ports) performs well in input or output data. If you are using an external drive (such as an active hard disk), you generally need to connect it to a parallel port using the EPP function to achieve good performance. While ECP (Extended Capabilities Ports, Extended functional Ports) uses a compression technique to transmit data in two-way, with a transfer rate of 2 MB/s, this compression method is particularly effective when delivering graphic data to a printer. Although ECP has many advantages, it is best not to use it in the following two cases:
1. If the printer cannot process such a large amount of data in time, ECP will not bring any benefits, and may cause exceptions and errors.
2. ECP uses an additional Direct Memory Access (Direct Memory Access) channel, but you may not have any redundant DMA channels available to ECP.

Sixth, some special cases such as the SPM printing plug-in we are using
Some machines need to be printed with related plug-ins. I will briefly describe the installation instructions of our new version of SPM plug-ins.
1. First, delete the spm three-phase print control in the add/delete program;
2. Enter "cmd" in "start"> "run" and click "enter;
3. in the dos window, enter "cd C: \ WINDOWS \ Downloaded Program Files" and click press Enter. If 0 Files are displayed, no operation is performed. If a file exists, enter the following command: "del. "; press" Y "when confirming;
4. Reinstall the SPM three-phase printing control.
5. Enable IE trial printing. At this time, VI should mark "Lenovo Sunshine Service". If yes, continue to the next step.
6. Decompress the "Downloaded Program Files" file and overwrite all Files in C: \ WINDOWS \ Downloaded Program Files.
