One, Win7 access to WinXP shared printers

on many online postings, one is an open guest account, and one is a printer that adds a network port. These two, I have tried, the previous one, the slightest effect, Win7 can see the WinXP machine, but do not see its shared printer. The latter, although the smooth addition of the WinXP printer, but the printed files are blank paper, updated printer driver also has no effect.

Now put the resolution steps below for your reference

Win7 machine:

1, open Services

Right click on My Computer or computer-manage-services and applications, turn on services, or run with Win+r -Enter Services.msc carriage return, open service settings

to open the following services:

DHCP client

Remote Procedure call

2, Win7 and WinXP two machines to be in a workgroup

3, open network share and file share

4, user admin---Start Guest user

5, reboot WinXP computer.

The author followed the above method, Win7 successfully found WinXP shared printer in the network share, double-click, install printer driver as prompted, and successfully set the network printer as the default printer. And can be used normally.
the FTP settings under Win7 introduced on the network, the end will come to a sentence, if not normal access, put " Win7 Firewall "off. It is true that after shutting down the Win7 firewall, the rest of the computer can normally access FTP. Once the Win7 firewall is turned on, it will not be able to access ftp properly. The

problem is at the firewall. The

General article describes that you can enable FTP through the firewall by checking the FTP server in "Allow programs to communicate through Windows Firewall." But after practical use, this is not possible. The

refers to a workaround in "http://www.downcc.com/tech/info/672245.html".

is not only to check the FTP server, but also to add "Inetinfo.exe" in "Allow programs to communicate through Windows Firewall." The

through the author's local search, there are two locations on this machine, respectively, the

in the Allow the program through Windows Firewall Communication "Click" "Allow another program to run" click "Browse", find the above two programs, click "Open" can be. The

will find "Internet information Services" already available in "allowed programs and features" and ticked off.

After you have opened the Win7 firewall, the other machines will also be able to access FTP properly after the operation. In fact, Win7 FTP is a child function under IIS, so you must also have IIS through the firewall.

Two of the above issues,Are the positive solutions that are found in many Web pages and are proven to be feasible. With the text to remember.
