This article discusses the general problem of installing Windows with the default 4096-cluster format, which is a common installation problem for everyone.
If you specify the system disk C-disk 64k/32k/16k unit cluster size, see here: System disk partition unit cluster for 64K/C disk 64k cluster installation Win7/win8
First, if you encounter "we cannot create a new partition and cannot find an existing partition" when the installation system chooses the installation drive letter. Please unplug all the U-disks, SD cards and other storage devices on your computer and restart your computer for installation. PE under the installation can be completed after loading the PE system unplug the USB flash drive, after the system to install. If not, press the following method.
Method One: If you are the original installation CD, and the hard disk has been partitioned, when you choose the installation drive letter encountered "We can not create a new partition, can not find the existing partition" situation. Click on "Drive Advanced options" in the lower right corner of the installation screen, select the C drive above, delete, and then re-establish the system partition, the installer will set aside a 100m-350m boot partition, and then install it. If you originally have a 100m partition, format the partition before installing it. If you do not want to reserve the 100m-350m partition or still cannot install it, use the PE boot disk to install it.
When PE is installed, it is best to copy the Win.iso to the local hard disk root directory before installation. Load the Win.iso to extract the install.wim from the sources to the local hard drive root directory (or unzip the ISO). The general PE system will come with a virtual ISO loader and Windows Universal Installer (also known as Win&man and the like, can be released Install.wim on the line), can also download nt6, or Winntsetup, winsetup and so on.
Before PE installation, WIN7PE, computer-right--manage--disk management, view and make sure your C drive is the primary and active partition. If you reserve a small 100m partition, make sure that the small partition is the primary and active partition, and the C drive is the main partition (not the active partition). If it is not an active partition, right-click on the partition--set to active partition (active partition). If even the main points are not, PE under the Diskgenius on the C-Disk right-click, conversion to the main partition, and then right-click, activate the partition (small partition), Save the settings .
Method Two: PE startup disk or PE CD. After choosing to enter the WIN7PE system, use the Windows Universal Installer (or "Win&man" or "Winntsetup" ) load the Install.wim file with a 100m boot partition, specify the boot disk in the boot partition (100m), and assign the system disk to the system partition (C-drive). If there is no boot partition, both the boot disk and the system disk select the system partition (C drive), restart the computer after release, and the local hard drive starts. After the system is installed, if there are multiple systems or ghost Startup items, the Win7 startup entry will be displayed as "Windows Vista", and the single system cannot be seen, but none of them are affected. If you do not want to modify, Win7 the administrator to run the cmd input: bcdedit/set {current} decript:ion "Windows 7". Do not omit quotation marks, which can be customized in quotation marks.
☆ Method Three ☆: If you use PE boot CD and PE boot disk. "We were unable to create a new partition and cannot find an existing partition" when loading the ISO installation: The ISO boot and BOOTGMR and sources copied to the C drive, PE, Start menu, run, cmd, input "C:\boot\bootsect.exe/nt60 C:", (/nt60 before, after each space), restart the computer, the local hard drive, Automatic installation. After entering the system, delete the sources folder of the C drive. Start with a "Windows Setup Startup" Startup entry, enter the system after the Start menu, run, enter (or run CMD admin mode input): Msconfig, open the System Configuration dialog, select the Boot tab, select the boot item to delete, click Delete, apply.
Method Four: Run NT6 under PE startup disk, specify C drive as system disk, specify Install.wim path, restart computer, local hard drive boot, auto boot installation. Startup Item Name reference Method 2.
If you are still unable to install properly, check that your disk partition is correct. Removable data, re-disk rebuild partition. If you are not familiar with Diskgenius, do not mess with "rebuilding MBR" "restore partition Table" operations
A new partition with PQ, sometimes in the case of a slow or blue screen into PE, because the partition did not complete the formatting caused by the WinPE loading error. Restart the computer PE boot disk, enter the PE after entering the WinPE system, directly into the Diskgenius or other hard disk tools, the newly-created partition is reformatted again, and then into the WinPE no problem
