Windows 7 Working Folders "Synchronization has stopped, is blocked by security policy" problem solving method

Microsoft has introduced the Working Folders feature in Windows Server R2, which allows users to synchronize data in the Working folders directory on multiple devices. Users can synchronize folders on laptops and tablets and edit the files in them, while folders are processed offline, and the changes are synchronized the next time the user connects to the network. At first, the client for the working folder could only be Windows 8.1. At that time I wrote an article "Windows Server R2 new feature introduction of working folder Use", see http://wangchunhai.blog.51cto.com/225186/1365980/.

Microsoft later released the Working folders version for Windows 7, with 32-bit https://www.microsoft.com/zh-CN/download/details.aspx?id= 42559, 64 bits is http://www.microsoft.com/zh-CN/download/details.aspx?id=42558.

My home computer is using Windows 10, and the organization is using Windows 7. Because now the family broadband has been upgraded to 50M fiber, feel ordinary in the unit, home back to copy files, using a USB stick slower, and use OneDrive, and feel slower, after all, OneDrive is Microsoft's server. And my unit has a test server, Active Directory, file Server These have, the original configured for the "working folder" Environment also has, ready to use "working folder", the unit and the home PC synchronization data between.

Home computer, Windows 10, trust and download root certificates, configure working folders is convenient, these are not introduced. My blog post "Windows Server R2 new features Introduction to working folders use" has been described more clearly.

The main unit of this Windows 7 Enterprise Edition, upgrade to SP1. After you install the Working folders software for Windows 7, you are prompted to join the domain to work. After joining the domain, the error shown in Figure 1-1 appears when you open Control Panel → working folders. The primary error message is "work has stopped." is blocked by security policy, more specifically, because the server is using a password policy that is not supported by Windows 7, the working folder cannot be synced to this computer. "

At first, I thought it was the current computer's password policy differs from the server's password policy. Perform secpol.msc on this computer on Windows 7, open security settings → account policies → password policies, 1-2, and discover the same password policy as the server.

Because the working folder is in Https://mh09.heinfo.edu.cn's site, I then add the site to the "Local intranet" area of IE browser, as shown in 1-3. The problem is still unresolved.

View Microsoft's documentation https://support.microsoft.com/zh-cn/kb/2891638, which feels like this:

When you use Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) to synchronize server authentication and use forms-based authentication in your environment, client computers must use Internet Explorer 9, Internet Explorer 10, or Internet Explorer 11. Otherwise, the user cannot authenticate to the server.

This sentence is useful, but my Computer browser has been upgraded to IE11.

Because I have a lot of things, and then Chinese can not find, on Baidu "Work folders Windows 7", in an English Windows 7 blog to find a solution. Http://blogs.technet.com/b/filecab/archive/2014/04/24/work-folders-for-windows-7.aspx.

Switch to the server that provides the work folders Windows server R2, run PowerShell, and execute the following command:

Set-syncshare Fs-home-passwordautolockexcludedomain "HEINFO.EDU.C"

As shown in 1-4.

Where Fs-home is the shared directory of the Artifact folder, as shown in 1-5.

And heinfo.edu.cn is my domain name.

After execution, return to the Windows 7 computer, and in services, stop work Folders, as shown in 1-6.

Then open "Control Panel → working folder" with the status "synchronizing", as shown in 1-7.

After the synchronization is complete, the status is normal, as shown in 1-8.

Click the Open File Location button to open the working folder, as shown in 1-9. This solves the problem.
