Windows 7 Startup Process

Optimization of boot time during the entire process of Windows 7 boot. I believe this is a permanent optimization topic for our computer users, generally, we use tool software such as 360 one-click optimization to Disable boot items so as to shorten the boot time, but basically, this is only the last step for Windows startup. To really understand the boot optimization mechanism, you must start with understanding the system startup process. First, we need to know what Windows 7 has done when the computer is turned on? Only by knowing this can we take the right remedy to the problem and truly achieve Fast startup optimization. Next, let's take a look at the complete Boot Loading Process of the gorgeous Windows 7. 1. When you turn on the power, the system will perform power-on self-check (POST ). If it passes through, the BIOS will read the Master Boot Record, that is, MBR, which is the core part of the machine and serves as the first sector of the hard disk of the boot device. -- In this case, Windows takes over the startup process. Next, MBR reads the first sector of the boot sector-active partition (that is, the primary partition. This sector contains the code used to start the Bootmgr exe program of Windows Boot Manager. (WBM and Bootmgr are required for system boot. If they are missing or damaged, the system cannot be started.) Ps. it is estimated that some people will see this situation when installing system shoes. When the laptop cannot enter the system, the upper left corner will show Bootmgr is Missing or MBR is Missing, this is the prompt for missing boot items. At this time, you have to try the repair tool of the startup Item. 2. Enable Menu Generation -- Windows Startup manager reads information in "enable configuration data storage (BCD. What is in this BCD file? In fact, It stores the configuration information of all operating systems installed on your computer. In this case, the Startup menu is generated based on the BCD Boot Record for the user to choose from. 3. When you select the following actions in the Startup Menu: <1> if you select Windows 7/vista, winload.exe In the System32 folder of the wbmruntime system directory is also the system loader. <2> if you recover from sleep to Windows 7/vista, then wbmwill retrieve winresume.exe and restore your previous use environment. <3> if you select the local Windows Server, wbmlocates the volume where the system is installed, and calls the local system initiator to access ntldr.exe, and generates a boot menu determined by the boot. ini content for the user to choose from. 4. Load the core file to the logon screen-select the Win7 startup item, and then start and load the core files Ntoskrnl.exe and hal. dll-read the settings from the registry and load the driver. Next, you will run the Windows session manager (smss.exe) and start the Windows Startup Program (Wininit exe, firewall security validation (lsass.exe)and service (services.exe) process. After the process is completed, you will enter the familiar system logon interface. 5. Post-login boot loading project-when you enter your user name and password and log on to your system, the hard drive will be choppy (SSD is not included here) the system is loading the personal settings file of the current login account, and loading the software of the current computer and some startup projects specified by the current user. This is the favorite place of many software (including QQ, Feixin, Butler guard, and Trojan viruses). They need to stay here in the bottom right corner of your desktop and in the memory, convenience of some legitimate and illegitimate work (refers to some rogue and malware ). After these loads are completed, you can truly enter your Windows desktop, and your daily entertainment and work life will begin. OK, this is the Startup Process of Windows 7. Of course, most of the boot processes are applicable to Windows operating systems after Win95. Well, it seems that the long process of getting up and washing in Windows is over. Actually, the computer has done so many tedious tasks in the background, it takes 30 or 40 seconds to start the system. Do not make too much pressure on the shoes. As for the super ten-second boot of SSD, the startup speed of traditional mechanical hard drives is quite shy, and the two cannot be compared. In the previous three steps, there is little room for optimization (you can disable BIOS reading of the USB interface, that is, disable the USB interface, and the boot time is shortened by about five seconds ), it is nothing more than reducing the wait time of the Start Menu or permanently disabling the Start menu (of course, only one system does not select the buffer time for the Start Menu), which is truly optimized, there are 4th and 5th steps. In step 4, the system font loading and service loading are also involved. This is the first scene that takes up the boot time. For System Service add-ons, you can run them directly (Win + R) the built-in msconfig of the system is used to manage these add-ons. Of course, software operations such as 360 one-click optimization are more convenient and can be completely deleted. In fact, in the previous system Installation Log, Rubik's cube 3 is recommended for you to delete unnecessary fonts. I do not recommend that you modify the Registry to shorten the boot time. If you do not know the registry, you can modify the registry based on the key value provided by the Registry, you don't understand the principle. You may also crash the system, which is worth the candle (if you are willing to back up and restore it, it doesn't matter if you try it). Well, let's write this, I still found that my blog is still long, but I think it is very useful. This blog was inspired by the fact that I installed the system on the Super dual hard drive for more than 10 seconds yesterday, I would like to share this process with you based on my personal knowledge and terminology on the Internet. Thank you for your support and welcome to the discussion ~
