Windows 10 installation on Mac

Every time Windows is installed on a Mac, it is a very painful thing. I once lost the hard disk data of the entire Mac to install Win8, finally, MacOSX was restored through the recovery mode of the turtle Speed System (50 m Telecom optical fiber was downloaded three days later). I believe there are not many friends who have the same experience with me.

Microsoft published a new masterpiece Windows 10 a few days ago. Here is a concise tutorial to help you who have not installed Windows on Mac.

Step 2 prepare materials

8 GB boot or larger USB flash drives

We recommend that you use a USB high-speed USB flash drive, which saves a lot of installation time.

Step 4 Create a Windows 10 boot USB flash drive

Enable the Boot Camp assistant in Launchpad.

Select create a Windows 7 or later installation disk and download the latest Windows support software from Apple. Click continue.

Select a Win10 installation image and a USB flash drive for the target disk (warning: Check whether the target disk is an inserted USB flash drive. Do not format other mobile hard disks or something ).

After WOW or LOL is installed, Windows 10 should only be installed with a USB flash drive.

Step 1 partition

After BootCamp is installed with a USB flash drive, we will adjust the size of the hard disk partition to allocate disk space required for Windows 10 installation.

There are two situations in this step. The first one is to install Windows directly using BootCamp for the partition we created, after installing Windows in this way, my computer has only one partition named Bootcamp. If this method is used, directly restart the Mac after the steps described above will automatically guide the Windows 10 installation program. During the installation process, no (or no) adjustment is required to the disk partition, install Windows directly to the Bootcamp partition.

This section focuses on how to make the installed Windows have multiple partitions.

After making and installing the USB flash drive, do not restart the Mac. Open the disk tool in Launchpad, select the disk root on the left, and select the partition tab on the tab. In the layout, delete partitions other than the Macintosh.

Partition layout is the partition layout after Windows is installed. I forgot the partition layout during installation, but this is the same as that. To delete the volume label, it is the partition of Bootcamp, make the remaining disk space unavailable in the Windows installer.

Restart Mac and enter the Windows Installer. When selecting a partition, note that you have selected the disk space without partitions. Click Create to create a partition.

After a partition is created for the first time, the system automatically splits the value from 60 MB to 60 MB ~ For a shard of MB or another shard with a large capacity, note that the first partition must be retained and not changed. Delete the second large partition.

Create independent partitions in the remaining disk space as needed.

After installing Windows, you can use multiple partitions in Windows.

So far, Windows 10 is successfully installed on MAC. The next step is to install the development environment.

In this way, the only problem with Windows Installation is that you cannot use the Bootcamp assistant to restore the MAC partition. If you suddenly don't want to use Windows one day, you must use the disk tool to manually restore the partition.
