In the WIN10 system Setup, Microsoft has added a new "Start" Settings personalized page, where you can customize the Start menu experience, including the default setting Full screen Start screen.
Other options include recently opened items in the Start menu and taskbar, display recent applications, display recently opened applications in the Start menu (unlike the first option, no taskbar), and open or close the application/content recommendations in the Start menu.
The last one is that Microsoft allows you to turn on or off the ad display in the menu, which allows you to recommend applications and more likely to entice users to download apps and buy content from Microsoft Windows stores. If you don't want to see it, you can choose to turn it off. The gray option is still in the current version.
Win10 Start Menu Deep links can also be customized, and if you don't want to see settings or File Manager in the Start menu, you can turn it off for display. You can see more out-of-the-box access links in the Settings list.
