Windows 7 + CentOS6.5 dual-system installation

I learned Linux for a while about half a year ago, but I didn't stick to it ...... Recently I want to start watching it again, but I want to see the running status of Linux on a physical machine rather than just running it on a virtual machine. So I tried to install CentOS on a Windows 7 system, achieve the purpose of using the dual-system switch. After more than half a day of experiment, it was a success. Now I will introduce my methods to you and hope to help you.

Note: 1. Due to hard disk operations, back up data properly to avoid loss.

2. I used a virtual machine for testing to achieve image coverage in every step, but please rest assured that I have successfully implemented it on my physical machine.

3. My steps are absolutely correct and indispensable. You must follow my steps.

Let me introduce the required software first.

　　

EasyBCD: to add and modify a startup Item

PA3CN: partition assistant for hard disk operations

WINGRUB

First, I have prepared an operating system for a GB hard disk and allocated idle areas above GB.

　　

　　

Then, use the partition assistant to erase data.

　　

　　

Then 10 Gb space is allocated as the partition for storing the installation file.

　　

　　

　　

Then we get the Installation File

　　

Decompress the images and isolinux folders in DVD1 to the partition you created above, and then copy the installation file.

　　

Step 1: complete;

We open Wingrub and use the tool

　　

Obtain the ID of the new partition.

　　

Is hd0, 4, remember

Enable EasyBCD and add the startup Item.

Restart and complete the second step;

Restart and select NeoGrub boot

Select the language. The English is selected by default.

Here, let you select the disk space you want to use for system installation. It is best to select the following option to indicate that you want to customize

Based on the allocation shown in the figure, the Size (Size) is calculated in MB. I have set 100 Gb. You can allocate it according to your actual situation.

You need to change the settings here. By default, the startup file is placed in the partition where Windows is located, which will damage the Windows 7 Startup File.

　　

Continue. Select the installation mode.

　　

Installation started

Installation Complete

Restart your computer and enter Win7

Make settings smarter.

Restart to check the effect. Try it in Linux.

　　

　　

Successful!

Now you can go back to Win7 and hand over the elastic drive (You are used as the partition for installing the file storage) and the remaining disk space to Win7 for use. Of course, you should leave the GB allocated to Linux to be idle.
