Windows 7 Change AutoPlay settings

When a user puts an audio CD or DVD in an optical drive, does he want Windows7 to automatically start the user's favorite player and start playing? When the trip returns, will you want Windows 7 to automatically import all of your photos to your computer after you connect your digital camera to your computer? This will use the Win7 flagship version of the Automatic playback function.

Now the AutoPlay feature is not limited to the optical drive, but can be used for a variety of different types of devices.

Open the Control Panel, click Programs-Change the default settings for media or Devices option, and then open the AutoPlay options interface similar to the following figure.

First, the AutoPlay feature is enabled by default. Therefore, if you do not want to use this feature, you need to deselect the option "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices" in the interface shown in the previous illustration.

You can then set different autoplay options for each device type. For example, putting an audio CD in an optical drive can also automatically play with Windows Media Player, or use Windows Media Player to rip to a hard disk to save.

The user can determine the specific operation depending on how the file is saved in the device, and the options provided by the system are closely related to the type of file. For example, there is an option to play for audio and video files, but for graphics files you have the option of importing to your computer. If other software is installed in the system download that can handle this type of file, the software will also be listed in the list of options for the user to choose from.

You can apply the changes by clicking the Save button when you are ready.
