After Windows 7 has just installed the operating system, if it is not configured, the operating system automatically downloads and installs and updates the patch in the background by default, however, sometimes you may find that the system cannot start after the patch is updated, and the message "windows configuration failed, update restored, please do not shut down" appears, most of the online statements are about entering the security mode or the last correct configuration. However, recently, both of my friends have encountered this fault. After trying to find that this is actually useless, after finding me and trying to solve this bug perfectly, I thought about writing a tutorial to teach you how to solve this problem.

First of all, when you encounter this kind of fault, don't wait for it. It will take a long time to wait. Press and hold the power supply to force the shutdown.

Wait for one minute after the computer is shut down, press the boot button, and then press F8.

When this interface has the option to repair the computer, it means you are a huge step away from solving the problem.

At this time, press the up and down key to select "repair computer options", and then press the Enter key.

Ps: Remember to grasp the time and press F8 right away. The following interface may not appear too early or too late.

After the above operations are correct, you should be able to see such an interface that prompts you to enter the account and password. This interface has three accounts by default, one of the thinkpad names is the user name and account created by my friend to log on to the computer. Here I directly asked my friend's logon password and entered it.

Ps: there is a hidden account and an updated hidden account. If you select the other two types, try to log on directly with a blank password. If you cannot log on, use your username and password. You can log on to any of the three accounts.

After successful login, we can see such an interface, there are several options, but after testing the other several seems not useful, so we directly select the second "System Restore" here"

Then we can see that there are several restore points, and we certainly cannot select the first one. After all, this is caused by the current update failure, so I chose the second Restore Point.

Ps: These restore points are a default Restore Point configuration enabled after win7 is installed. By this configuration, the system is restored to the status before a Restore Point. If the system does not restore the origin, you can try the other repair options in the previous step.

Ps: Coincidentally, this option does not affect the program. If you select another Restore Point, scanning the affected program will prompt that some programs will be deleted, we can choose an appropriate Restore Point.

 

After scanning the restoration results, we can select an appropriate restore point for restoration.

The solution is simple. After you select restore origin and click Next, the system will automatically restore and fix the problem. After the restoration is complete, click Restart computer.
