This article looks at automatic backup settings.

Windows 7 Automatic Backup Setup Wizard
1. Open system Backup and restore
Set open Control Panel-"system and Security"-"Backup and Restore" in turn, as shown in the following illustration:
This is the default setting state of the system and does not turn on automatic backup. In addition to creating the system image and the system repair disk, the backup column on the right side of the image above will open the scheduled backup content.
2, choose to set up a backup
Choose where to save the backup, if you want to set up the automatic backup file containing the non-system disk, then the save location can not be the drive, here Demo choose to save in D disk, click Next.
Of course, you can also save to a network location, requiring that the operating system of the network client must be one of the Windows 7 Professional, flagship, or Enterprise editions. You may need to enter a user name and password as well. Also can be saved to the USB flash drive, but the U disk is not allowed to save the system image, can only save some modification files, this feeling should be one of the Microsoft anti-piracy strategy.
3. Choose Backup Mode
The following figure:
Here are two options, "Let Windows Select" and "Let Me Choose":
Having Windows Select--windows selection will only back up its own stuff (including a system disk image), as well as libraries, desktops, and so on, and will not be backed up if the library is on a network drive. There are also those that are not backed up, such as files under the FAT file system partition, files in the Recycle Bin, and temporary files less than 1G drives.
Let me choose--You can manually configure the details of a scheduled backup of Windows 7, as shown in the following illustration, which is actually the default content that Windows chooses.
4, set up automatic backup content
By manually configuring the backup content, you can select a folder for the other local drives below, such as your own working files that are also involved in automatic backups, so that you can recover from automatic backups if the data is lost in the process (previously described system protection may also be used for recovery).
The system image selection that includes the drive is not too large for the backup result image, although the system disk is large and takes up a lot of space for the first time, all for the first time in a backup period, followed by an incremental backup.
5. Automatic Backup plan Confirmation
This is the final step, as shown in the following figure:
The default backup is done weekly, and you can configure the cycle of automatic backups by using the change plan in the previous illustration, whether you can set up daily or weekly backups, as shown in the following figure:
After the configuration is complete, click Save Settings and run the backup, and subsequent backup settings can be modified at any time. The scheduled backup results are shown below:
After the backup, you can see the green arrows and the CD-ROM icon under the backup disk, as shown in the following figure (the left test-pc is the data file backup result, the right windowsimagebackup is the image backup result), double-click this icon to perform the restore operation. Specific restore methods, to participate in the days of the special article, later put several methods of restoration to be introduced together.

Our daily restore files can be operated here, or you can select "Previous Versions" on the backed-up files or folders to restore them.

Ii. How to cancel and delete scheduled backups

If you don't like the automatic backup schedule, you can also stop or delete it at any time, but if you delete the above folder directly, you may not be able to remove it, because Mediaid.bin is in the active state, you can try the following methods.
1. Stop Automatic backup
There is a disabled schedule on the left side of the backup and restore above, you can temporarily stop the schedule, only temporarily stop, you can also be enabled at any time.
2. Delete Automatic backup
If you want to completely remove the automatic backup schedule, to revert to the same interface as before, you can choose from "Control Panel"-"Administrative Tools"-"Task Scheduler," in turn, "Task Scheduler Library"-"Microsoft"-"Windows"-" Windowsbackup ", the right side of the window automaticbackup the right mouse button to delete.
Related backup files can be deleted manually (if the Mediaid.bin file is still deleted, modify the file permissions, grant Full Control to authenticated user), or delete the Backup and restore window ahead of schedule
