Windows 7/Ubuntu dual system deletes a post-boot Problem

I wanted to install a Ubuntu system on my laptop, so I had a dual-system. However, it was tragic that Ubuntu on Acer Aspire S3 could not access the Internet, and there was no Nic or graphics card driver, so my mind went viral, go directly to win7 and delete the Ubuntu boot partition and logical partition. When the computer is restarted, the system cannot be found sadly and go directly to grub rescue mode; in the past, I had to solve this problem by means of brute force Reinstallation, but the hummingbird didn't have an optical drive, so I had to try another method.

USB flash drive

I searched for some solutions from the Internet, so I don't have to think about USB boot. So I switched f2 to BIOS to adjust the boot sequence, and the USB HDD started first. The following is how to create a USB boot disk on another machine. Because I restored and deleted Ubuntu, I used the fedora liveusb creator tool to make the USB boot disk Ubuntu and re-install it to my computer. If I made XP or win7, you can use usboot.

    1. Download fedora liveusb creator
    2. Format a USB flash drive.
    3. Run liveusb creator and select the U disk and ISO image file;
    4. Click Create live USB.

Then, connect the USB flash drive to the problematic local disk and restart the computer to enter the Ubuntu installation interface. Remember to format the partition you deleted when installing it to the partition, then select this partition (that is, make sure it is the same as the last installation ). After the installation is complete, unplug the USB flash drive and restart it.

After selecting Windows 7, how can I delete the Ubuntu system correctly?
    1. Download mbrfix;
    2. Token)
    3. Go to "Computer Management"-> "disk management" and delete the Ubuntu partition.
    4. Do not restart the machine. Click "start"-"run"-Enter cmd-"and press the Enter key.
    5. In the DOS window, enter CD/and press Enter.
    6. Enter the command: mbrfix/drive 0 fixmbr/Yes and press Enter. If function failed is displayed. error 5. "", go to the C drive, find mbrfix.exe, right-click "properties", the properties dialog box appears, switch to the "compatibility" tab, and run this as an administratorProgram. Then re-enter mbrfix/drive 0 fixmbr/Yes and press ENTER
    7. Restart to check the success
Fixed in grub rescue mode

In Windows, the partition where grub is located is changed from sda3 to sda2. In this way, grub cannot be found, and it appears when Ubuntu is started.

Grub rescue>

In this case, you can solve the problem as follows without reinstalling the system.

Step 1: Find out the partition of your Linux disk and the location of the grub directory.

If you still remember the best, it doesn't matter if you forget it. Use the following command to test it one by one:

Grub rescue> ls

After you press enter, the LS command will list all disk partition information, such as: (hd0, 4), (hd0, 7), (hd0, 8), (hd0, 9)

Run the following command repeatedly until the file content contained in the partition is displayed instead of the unknown filesystem and other abnormal information is displayed.

Grub rescue> ls (hd0, 0)/boot/GRUB

(If ls (hd0, 0)/grub is written on the internet, it may vary depending on the Linux release version. Ubuntu 10.04 is placed under/boot. Or you can use the LS command for other files. If the file content is successfully displayed when we try (hd0, 8.

Step 2:

Grub rescue> set root = (hd0, 8) // The partition in the brackets is the partition where the previous attempt was successful, that is, the partition where the Linux grub is located
Grub rescue> set prefix = (hd0, 8)/boot/GRUB

Step 3:

Grub rescue> insmod normal. Mod

Some insmod/GRUB/normal. mod on the internet, my Ubuntu 10.04 is not successful

At this point, the grub rescue mode should be withdrawn and the grub mode should be used.

Step 4:

Grub> normal

Step 5: repair grub

After entering the Linux system, in the command line

$ SudoUpdate-grub

Step 6:

$ SudoGrub-install/dev/SDA // SDA is your boot disk
