Upload local Hyper-V VMs to Windows Azure Virtual Machine

We know that the biggest advantage of the Windows Azure Virtual machine is that it's easy to get to the cloud and it's easier to get down.

We can create Hyper-V VMS locally and then upload the local VHD to Windows Azure via the Azure PowerShell script. To host a local VM on the cloud. This is a very convenient migration for our existing enterprise-class applications.

Unlike previous articles, I have described how to make virtual machine mirroring , which will run Sysprep, causing the VM to generate new SID and machine names .

My introduction to this chapter is to host the local already-produced Chinese version of the Windows Server VHD, uploaded to the cloud via Azure PowerShell, and the SID and machine name of these VMS remain unchanged.

1. First, we make the VHD for server 2012 on local Hyper-V, (the VHD size must be a fixed size , while the Remote Desktop Connection feature is turned on in the VM ), watch out for the machine name and workgroup of this VM.

2. Upload the VHD through Azure PowerShell, not familiar with the upload step reader, please refer to my previous article:

3. After uploading, we can observe the results in Azure Management Portal-> Azure Storage:

4. In the Azure Management portal, select Virtual Machine,disk, select Create A Disk
