Windows platform listening service cannot start reporting TNS-12560 TNS-00530 tns-12560tns-00530 case

 

TNS-12560 & TNS-00530 errors were encountered when the Windows Server 2012 platform started the listening service using commands.

 

C: \ Users> lsnrctl start GEW_LISTENER

TNS-12560: TNS: protocol adapter error

TNS-00530: Protocol adapter error

 

 

 

 

In this scenario, this error is caused by permission issues. Command Prompt must run as administrator to start the listening service. Of course there are some other reasons that may cause TNS-12560 or ORA-12560 errors, but here is just to record such a case.
