First, install IIS 7.0:

Although I is 7.0 built into Windows Server 2008, it is not installed by default. Because the IIS services installed in Windows Server 2008 are significantly different from previous operations, you first need to install the IIS 7.0 components by referencing the following steps.

Later, I tried IIS on Windows Server 2012, the version is 8, and there are screenshots mentioned in this article.

1: Start-Server Manager-roles-Add roles:

2: Check the Web server (IIS), and then you can see a brief introduction to the Web server.

3: Select the role of the Web server component service components, generally use the default choice, if there are special requirements can be based on the actual situation to choose.

4: You can then view the Web Server installation details, confirm the "Install" button to install the Web server. After installing the Web server, run the start → admin tools →internet Information Service Manager command to activate the Internet Information Services Manager window, and you can see that the interface of IIS 7.0 differs from previous versions.

The following figure is a screenshot of the later author in Windows Server R2 database x64 + IIS8:

Second, create a Web site in IIS 7.0:

Although the installation of the IIS7.0, but not immediately normal use of Web services, after all, create a website to go through some settings. Although IIS 7.0 varies greatly, creating a Web site in Windows Server 2008 is relatively straightforward, and can be easily set up with the following steps.

1: Choose "Web Site" in the Internet Information Services window, and then choose "Add Site" in the pop-up menu after right-clicking the mouse to start creating a Web site.

2: Set the relevant parameters for the Web site in the window. For example, the site name can be set to "win2008", the Web site's home directory can select the directory where the home page resides, or the default path to the WindowsServer 2008, the Web site IP address, and the port number to select the system default IP address directly from the IP address drop-down list.

3: Returns to the Internet Information Server window after the completion of the Web site item to see a new "win2008" site in the middle area.

To verify that the Web server that you create is available, just run IE on another computer in the intranet, and then enter the corresponding IP address of the Web server in the address bar, and if you can see the IE7.0 welcome interface, the Web server creation is successful.

Third, web site migration case:

1, new and old server environment to be consistent (or version higher):

Original Server Environment: Window 2003 Enterprise SP4 + IIS6 +. N ET Framework 4.0 + SQL Server 2005 + other
Target server environment: Window 2008 Enterprise R2 + IIS7 +. NET Framework 4.0 + SQL Server 20 08 + Other

2, create a new empty database with the same name as the backup library in SQL2008:

Restore Database:

Wait, after the restore succeeds, Check the size of the database:

Check that the DBA account was restored successfully:

3, stop default WEB. Add new station: Specify application pool, 80 port, physical home directory (also to set root directory for everyone read):

4, in server application pool, modifying:

br> status-Starts all applications and changes the process model identity and database authentication methods (such as System validation):

Restart, and browse the Web site (this is also available on the LAN to test access):

Server Local and LAN are accessible:

5, the server public network address to do domain name resolution. At this point, the relocation case is complete.

Four, graphical modules setting Web properties:

The modularity and graphics of IIS 7.0 is a new feature that allows you to view the modular settings interface by expanding the Web site project in the Internet Information Services Manager window and selecting a Web site that you have created. These feature settings are typically simple, and are then presented in two cases that set up a Web site.

Case 1: Set the Web site default document

IIS 7.0 defaults to setting documents such as Index.html,index.htm,default.htm and default.asp as the default documents, and you can follow these steps if you need to set up other documents as the default documents.

1: In the Graphical module interface, double-click the "Default document" icon to activate the Settings window.

2: Click the right "Add" link in the Settings window and enter "Index.asp" from the pop-up window to confirm that the index.asp file can be added to the default document.

3: For the default document, you can also select the "Move Up" or "Move Down" link to the right after you click to adjust the order of the text.

Case 2: Setting up a server certificate

For security reasons, many sites have to issue a security certificate, if the user browsing the site did not accept the certificate or install the certificate, it will not be normal browsing the Web site. You can set up a server certificate in IIS 7.0 and be prompted to accept it when the client computer accesses the Web site.

1: In the Graphical module interface, double-click the server certificate icon to activate the settings.

2: In the Server Certificate window, click the "Create self-signed certificate" link on the right, and then set a name for the certificate in the Create a self-signed certificate window.

3: After you create the self-signed certificate, return to the Graphical Module window and click the Bind link on the right, and the Site Bindings window pops up, where you click the Add button.

4: Select HTTPS in the window type Drop-down list to set the Web site to the HTTPS authentication type, and then select the IP address of the current Web server in the IP address drop-down list, for example, 192.168.1.25, and the port with the default 443; SSL Certificate Drop-down list, select the "Webssl" certificate that you have already created. After you complete the above operation, the certificate settings are complete.

Five, backup, restore IIS configuration:

1, Backup:

This point is a directory where the filename manager automatically names:
