Windows XP has a very user-friendly feature: Remote Desktop. This feature can be found in the "Start → all programs → attachments → newsletters" menu (see Figure 1), which enables us to remotely access all applications, files, and network resources by remote control. For example, in the home Issued command remote control unit of the computer to complete the mail delivery, system maintenance, Remote Assistance and so on, if the use of broadband, then with the operation of the local computer will not be much different.
Figure 1 below, we take Windows XP as an example to introduce some steps for implementing remote control. 1. Application of Remote Assistance for Windows XP system Remote Assistance is a simple method of remote control provided with Windows XP systems. The originator of the Remote Assistance sends a request for assistance through MSN Messenger to a contact in Messenger, who, with the consent of the other person, can perform remote assistance, and the computer of the assisted party in Remote Assistance is temporarily controlled by the assisting party (known as the expert in the Remote Assistance Program), Experts can perform system maintenance, install software, handle certain problems in the computer, or demonstrate certain actions to the person being assisted. If you already have MSN Messenger 6.1 installed, you will also need to install Windows Messenger 4.7 to be able to do remote Assistance. When using Remote Assistance, click the action → seek Remote Assistance menu command in the main dialog box for MSN Messenger (Figure 2). Then select the contact you want to invite in the Seek Remote Assistance dialog box that appears. The Remote Assistance Program dialog box opens when an invitation is accepted. Invited person Click the take over control button in the Remote Assistance dialog box to manipulate the invitees ' computer.
