Windows Live Messenger automatically logs on and sets the status

Let Messenger remember your logon credentials

1, in the Messenger login window, enter your e-mail address and password.

2, select the "Save My Information" and "Remember my password" check box.

3, select the "Automatically Log me on" checkbox to turn on automatic login.

Your selections will take effect the next time Messenger is opened.

Attention

• This feature is useful if you are using a private computer. However, if you are using a public or shared computer, you can choose to "Remember my password" and others will have access to your account.

• To remove your login information, clear the Save my information and remember my password check box.

Add an e-mail address to the login list

1, start Messenger.

2, under "E-mail Address", enter the e-mail address you want to add.

3. Select the "Save My Information", "Remember my password" or "Log in automatically for me" check box.

Remove an e-mail address from the list

1, start Messenger.

2, click the arrow button next to the E-mail address box, and then select the e-mail address that you do not want Messenger to remember.

3, click "Delete My Information".

Set your status

In the Messenger login window, click the arrow button next to status, and then select the state you want Messenger to display when you log on.
