Windows Server 2008 IIS 7.0 installation
By default, when you install Windows Server 2008, there is no IIS feature component installed and the IIS components are installed.
Click Start--Program--Administrative Tools--server management, or enter in run
Command: The SERVERMANAGER.MSC command calls the server Management program.
In the Role option, click Add Role:
Select Server Role:
Click to select the Radio box in front of the Web server (IIS).
In the dialog box that pops up, click Add Required Features:
The Add Role Wizard provides a brief introduction to the Web server:
Select role service:
Confirm Installation Selection:
The system starts to install the selected role service:
Installation Complete:
Click the Close button.
Under the default configuration, a Web site is running and the IIS7 default page can be opened in the browser.
