Windows XP system wireless network sharing setup graphics and text tutorial

Make use of a networked laptop to set up its wireless network share so that many other laptops can have wireless internet access.

1. A notebook computer to ensure that wireless Zero Configuration service has been started

Click Start---Run---input services.msc--Confirm wireless Zero Configuration service is started.

2. Add a wireless network to a laptop computer that has been connected to a network (ADSL dialing or other broadband line)

Click Start---settings---network connection---Right-click the wireless network Connection---Properties---Select the Wireless network Settings tab---Click "Add":

Network Name (SSID): Arbitrarily set a name like GOODABC

Network authentication: Open

Data encryption: WEP

Automatically provide me with the secondary key: remove the check

Network key: Set five-bit character password such as yx008

When set, click OK to exit. Continue in the "Wireless Network Configuration" tab, click "Advanced", select "Computer only to computer (specific)", and then click "Off" exit;

3. Network sharing has been connected to the network (ADSL dial-up or other broadband line) of the notebook computer set up

Start---settings---network connection---Right-click ADSL broadband connection or local area connection (depending on how your current laptop is online)---properties---Select the Advanced tab---in Internet Connection Sharing:

Tick allows other network users to connect.

Home network connection: Select "Wireless network Connection", in the 1th step to set the "Wireless network Connection", here to see, or not to choose

Other: The default can be.

When set, click OK to exit.

4. Other notebook computer settings

Start---settings---network connection---Right-click Wireless network Connection---Select View Available wireless connections---Click "Refresh network List"---right window to see GOODABC This wireless network---Double click on the wireless network and enter the previously set password yx008 to achieve the networking.
